I was going to write in support of Molly and the committee who must have agonised about how best to address the SCS increasing expenses. Several people have responded by mail in support of her mail. Others may be feeling concerned and Molly is very happy to respond to these concerns. However, when this mail arrived in the SCS mail box, I thought it summed up just how lucky we are and what good value we get (sender annonymised to spare blushes).
It’s been a brilliant year, one which I have thoroughly enjoyed, thanks to the skill, talent & good humour of Huw and to the hard work of the committee. Not to mention our superb accompanist.
I think meeting every Monday, with like minded people to sing, is a highlight of every week & is a counterbalance to the trials & tribulations we face in life, at home or in our work place.
The rise in subs is fine by me & worth every single penny!
I look forward to the exciting times ahead.
Thank you for all you do.
Succinctly supported by Cecile: “Molly for Prime Minister”! Editor’s note: Thanks Cecile, nice thought but what would SCS do without her?
Rehearsal schedule and message from Huw
The award for best posture on May 10th goes to….. (drum roll) the altos! Editor’s Note: “Pah! Favouritism – that’s two gold stars to the altos. When do we get a turn?” say the Sopranos, Tenors and Basses!

SCS Social Event: Barn Dance – message from Susie and Veronica
We are intending to hold a Barn Dance for SCS at the Beeches Green Church Hall on Saturday 17 October 2015 at 7.30. There will be a live band called Common Ground in which our very own Fran Wade plays and a caller to guide us through the dances! Editor’s note – phew that’s a relief can you imagine the potential human pile up without a caller?
We need a rough idea of how many people might like to come before we confirm all elements of the evening and we calculate the price of the tickets, so Molly will be asking for a show of hands next week.
Sunday 31st May – open garden at Frampton Manor, Frampton on Severn, GL2 7EP: 1400 – 1730
